This HAS to be the most ridiculous thing I ever suffered thru. In every scene change,there was a ridiculous discrepancy. I cant even begin to force myself to itemize the nonsense displayed in this major abortion. Estrada...you have fallen to a historic,all time cinematic low with this trash heap. I understand actors take some roles simply for the money. But,this POS is a slap in the face and ultra embarrassment to any professional actor. You disgraced yourself with this heaping turd package.

Thank you Mam for getting me both Raydeen and Mazinga for Christmas in the 70’s. I was over the moon when I opened them! I also collected the Shogun Warriors Marvel comic.

DARKLY EPIC…..🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🫀👹 One of the 2 or 3 times I saw them in Tucson (come on man- it was the tail end of the 90$) Some douche decided to heckle Kelly. He pounced on the guy from the stage like a panther….The same ferocity of his voice made physical. The cops showed up later, but no arrests were made.

Still got my Mazinger ❤. Had it for 41 years and it’s near mint.

The characters were cool, no doubt, and one of my childhood friends had Shogun Mazinger, so I know the toys were cool. As for the ad, it’s cool until they “roll in for battle”. LOL I guess it beats “making them walk”, like with the old Star Wars figures. LOL, toys…

Pure uncut emotion... Just makes most of the other music look so insincere and dishonest.

Melvin was actually my uncle and he was a huge huge nerd and they got the name From him. He worked on a the port and a manager. King buzzo buddy said let's call the band Melvin so it just stuck. Back in the early mid 80s just outside Seattle. I can tell you for a fact he is the same Melvin. Kind of cool and funny as he'll the founder of sludge metal and grunge was my uncle Melvin in a way.

A few months later in July of 99’ I would see them perform in Chicago at the Metro. I’ve never seen a live show come close to what I experienced that night with Neurosis. I went to see Soulfly because a friend wanted to and I had no idea Neurosis was playing, just that HateBreed was opening. Watched HateBreed which at that time they were on a heavy touring cycle for their first album and I had seen them twice in the last year so I didn’t really care. I remember when Neurosis started setting up and Steve Von Till got into a screaming match with some of audience members. The atmosphere got really intense and then the lights kicked off and the screen started playing crazy videos and from that point on I was blown the fuck away!!!!! I’ve seen a zillion different live shows from Fugazi to The Rolling Stones. Slayer to Metallica. Danzig to Type-O Tool to Pantera. ATDI before the break up. A shitload but nothing compared to anything that night. I even caught the Melvins later on that year and as much as I was blown away by them, not even close to Neurosis. I was 19 and now 22yrs later, I still haven’t been blown away like I was that night. I felt like my teeth were kicked the fuck in from their performance. I think maybe the only thing that came close but nowhere near what I experienced was Quicksand opening up for the Deftones. That was another amazing show at the Riviera or the Riv. Also I saw Godflesh as a 14yr old open up for Danzig but that didn’t reverb until almost 20yrs later when I bought Messiah.

Raideen landed in the US only one year after the anime’s broadcast in Japan. Just imagine what could happen if the anime were syndicated in the West…

Yeah, good video! I have watched this in late 80s or early 90s when I was a kid. The laser and melting bodies impressed me dramatically. I was born in 80s and from China. So I guess this movie must be very popular in the world back then:) thanks for sharing!

I definitely think the Shogun Warrior line would’ve been even more successful had it come out in the 80’s, in order to capitalize on it on TV. Especially with the Force Five anthology series or the Tranzor Z dub of Mazinger Z. Speaking of, I wonder if kids who played with the Shogun Warrior toys were confused watching those shows and hearing entirely different names for them, not to mention learning of the original anime series for each robot as time went on and information expanded?

They haven't performed this song since 1998.. apparently it's very wrenching on them..
